The GESALO Award Gala took place on November 6th in Riyadh. The event honored outstanding company achievements and enduring partnership of the bilateral economic relationship. The respected leadership of 30 companies and institutions have been awarded in the categories: Innovation and Technology, Saudi German Business Partnership, Excellence in customer interaction and Responsibility for the Future. The food market in Saudi Arabia is changing rapidly. Current developments towards organic products, dietary products and healthy eating are on the rise. These changes were explained to the delegation of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture during their recent trip to Riyadh. During numerous B2B discussions, the participating companies were able to explore their market potential.

While German companies from Magdeburg are in search of new markets, Saudi Arabia presented itself as a potential candidate during the delegation trip with the Magdeburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
The 9 participating companies, mainly from the construction sector, met interesting stakeholders in Riyadh and Jeddah and gained insights into the Saudi project market and how to enter the market.

Contributing German know-how and technology in the Saudi aviation industry! 8 German companies from the aviation sector participated in a delegation trip jointly organized by GESALO and GATE e.V. The delegation visited the airport developers and operators JEDCO, Riyadh Airport Company as well as the responsible state regulator MATARAT Holding. The stakeholders presented the current expansion plans of their airports, as well as specific logistical challenges and current developments in the aviation industry.

For the first time, the German-Saudi Arabian Liaison Office for Economic Affairs (GESALO) welcomed Mr. Christian Ulrich, CEO of Spielwarenmesse in Saudi Arabia. Mr. Ulrich gave valuable insight into the upcoming toy fair in January next year and current trends in the toy industry.
The World of Toys - the Spielwarenmesse - is the highlight of the year and an unmissable platform for business development and face-to-face encounters. Its doors are open in Nuremberg for the 74th time from 28 January to 1 February 2025.
