German companies are increasingly focusing their activities on the Saudi market. High ranking political delegations as well as business delegations visited the Kingdom in February. With the kickoff of the Trade Fair Season, GSALO supported numerous exhibitors during their time in Riyadh. After a very busy month of February the GESALO team is now enjoying the month of Ramadan offering several Webinars.

On the occasion of the visit of the German Federal Minister of Finance, H.E. Dr Jörg Kukies to Riyadh, we had the pleasure to organize a business breakfast and accompanying further business potential in the industry and finance sector as well as opportunities within the Megaprojects were discussed during the business breakfast. The breakfast was moderated by our Delegate Dr. Dalia Samra-Rohte and also attended by the German Ambassador H. E. Michael Kindsgrab. |

During the recent visit of H.E. Frank-Walter Steinmeier to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, GESALO had the honor to participate during the visit of the King Salman Park in Riyadh, one of the Megaprojects showcasing the great contribution of German companies. The Project is major contribution to the Green Riyadh and the Quality-of-Life Program within the Vision 2030.

Due to a high project volume in the construction sector and a booming industry, the market is very interesting for German companies in the construction machinery and equipment manufacturers sector.
We were more than happy, to welcome a delegation of companies from this sectors to Saudi Arabia, organized by the delegation in cooperation with the VDMA (Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers Association). The participating companies aimed to gain insights into the market structure and build valuable business connections in Riyadh and Dammam.

In February we welcomed 23 companies from North Rhine-Westphalia as part of a delegation trip with NRW.Global Business and the IHK Ostwestfalen zu Bielefeld. In Dammam, our German Desk head in the Eastern Province, organized a roundtable discussion and B2B matchmaking in collaboration with the Asharqia Chamber. In Riyadh, participants gained insights into GIGA projects, met with representatives from the Ministry of Investment and the Ministry of Energy, and attended a reception at the German Embassy for networking opportunities. They concluded their visit with a stop at the BIG5 trade fair before continuing their journey to Muscat.

The museum equipment and technologies sector is gaining more and more momentum in Saudi Arabia. This was confirmed during our delegation trip with German companies from this sector. A number of the participating businesses had already impressive reference projects in KSA and utilized the delegation to expand their business network and cultivate existing business contacts and during the days in Riyadh and Jeddah.

Startup Roundtable on occasion of the LEAP conference | Riyadh

Our Delegate, Dr. Dalia Samra-Rohte moderated a fruitful roundtable between German startups and other stakeholders from Saudi Arabia on the LEAP conference, the annual tech event in Riyadh. The Ministry of Investment, gave an insight into the licensing process for startups in the Kingdom.

The German economy was strongly represented at this year's Big5 with a German pavilion. During both exhibition weeks, several German exhibitors took the opportunity to present their products and to expand their business. Our Delegate Dr. Dalia Samra-Rohte visited the German exhibitors together with Ambassador H.E. Michael Kindsgrab and gained deeper insights into the business world of the construction industry.
